On Father's Day, we decided to shake up the normal routine of Yo Gabba Gabba or Phineas and Ferb and turned on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown. We thought- genius! We love it, the girls love it, and everyone was happily eating their white chocolate chip pancakes and bacon while rocking out. Music is a staple in our house, and our girls LOVE to dance.
Ahhhhh.. Then comes Katy Perry (who is so H-O-T in my opinion) with Caifornia Gurls. Not really ever seeing the entire video we thought it was fantastic, aside from the bird flipping gummy bear (afterall, it WAS faded out.) Then comes the commentary from E: "Mommy, is she naked?.... Mommy, look, she is shooting whipped cream out of her boobies!....." She thought it was hilarious. But it was like a train wreck- none of us could look away, AND the girls asked for us to rewind it on Tivo and play it again... of course, we obliged... and danced... So I ask you- are we the worst parents ever?
What made me laugh most about the whole situation is that later we were listening to the song in the car, and E said "Yeah, Snoop!" Then my laughter came to a screeching halt when she said "Mommy, this is the part when she shoots whipped cream out of her boobies." That kid doesn't forget a thing.
You need to find a picture of her outfit on The Graham Norton Show, season 7, eps 11. It looked painted on. It was awesome.
