Ruffled.

With the onset of Spring, I am feeling like embracing my femininity.  This season I am taking a queue from my pint-sized fashionistas.  My girls (like most girls) are into ruffles. 

Ok.. maybe not quite THESE ruffles, but I couldn't resist putting these little baby butts in this post.

Don't you want to just take a bite???

  J. Crew brought ruffles back into the mainstream in 2008, and they seem to be holding strong.   I'm okay with that.

  You can see them everywhere from fashion to housewares.

Of course you run the risk of being overly-ruffled.   I love the look of pairing a delicate ruffle with something a little more masculine.  Like a linen ruffled blouse with a military coat.  Or a layered ruffled skirt (like the DVF one below) with a white boatneck tee and a chunky brown leather belt.
