I am fortunate to work for a company that is really casual. But living in DC, I have a lot of friends who still have to dress ahem.. professionally. There are so many great ways to turn your day look into a night look-- a little bling, some killer heels, a touch of red lipstick.... Just make sure to plan ahead!
